This is a 1500$ value! Plus you use the sensor to run it's own self power calibration all automated . Just plug in the sensor to the front input and off you go! Cal city!!!!

An all in one solution! That's what ifr and aeroflex  are all about!

If for some reason you don't want the extra sensor and cable reduce price by 500$.

this is a really nice aero flex ifr 6815  10 MHz to 46 GHz signal generator that does great  cw, freq and power sweeps plus internal freq mod.

Recent 2014 model!

If you absolutely  have to have pulse mod we can potentially install that as I can steal it from a parts unit. I've never done it but it already shows it in the menu so it's just a matter of transferring the pulse modulator right before the detector before the output.

We can also install gated trigger function if needed I think.

The 8565ec complementary spectrum analyzer pictured  is also for sale if interested.

Everything works great within spec and it has the high power option which gets 10 DB to 40 GHz so there must be an expensive 40 GHz preamp as it's usually only 0 DB to 40 GHz I believe . Then the spec with or without high power is around 0 db from 40 to 46 GHz.

It passes all phase noise specs, harmonics, spurious, and noise stability . It's pretty clean overall thanks to its switched filter which really works well. The design on this as compared to an 836xx series HP is at low frequencies the phase noise is really low and about 30 GHz and up the phase noise quality lessens whereas the 836xx has worse phase noise down low and better up high. Interesting how the designs create such variations in phase noise.

This thing is designed as a LO source for an ifr scalar network analyzer using step sweeps.

The LCD on this looks excellent. Excellent contrast and has the ability to add color but the black on white has the most contrast.

Passes all self tests and yto self cal which comes in handy over time when you need to relock the ytos.

It also has a way to align the freq standard which we will do upon purchase when making our 2 yr interval cal cert and sticker. Nist traceable.
