The sensor and meter combo is my fav part as the meter is absolutely beautiful  and large and easy to see from afar plus battery powered portable! Where can you find that??? And it goes way up to 30 GHz within spec very linearly without needing to adjust the freq after you set it to 18 GHz and want to go way past that.some of these 18 GHz rated sensors go pretty decent all the way to 38 GHz! These sensors are extremely well designed and their dynamic range is soo impressive! -67 to +23 dbm! And damage at +30 dbm!

We use this sensor with the older fsh18 in our lab extensively since it's portable battery powered and lasts 3 hours! It's so convenient you'll love it for sure! It beats out all rivalling power meters !

Unit works excellent and is super accurate and flat across the whole span  !

Last calibrated in mid 2023 but we will recalibrate it before it ships with a 2 yr interval cert and sticker nist traceable.

The frequency would need to be adjusted at Rohde as they're the only ones with the software so we offer a free homemade external battery powered ultra stable and easily adjustable 10 MHz reference cald before shipment upon request for an additional 200$.

This has a 20 GHz preamp so danl is Uber low for a handheld! That's super rare and incredible!. The danl is 30 DB lower  than the Agilent 20 GHz handhelds!

There are some typical unwanted mixing elements at certain frequencies like on all  handhelds but it's far superior to the older fsh3,fsh6 fsh18s.

This line is the fsh4,8,and 20 so the performance is twice as good in every way possible:

Way better display, much larger , brighter, twice the contrast, excellent viewing angles, good in daylight thanks to the anti glare coating. This particular unit has very low hours as you can visually tell , the LCD looks new and so does the body for the most part.

The phase noise is around 20 DB better than the older model at all offsets which is a massive improvement!!!

, the random spurious that came and went on the old style is gone on this model. It just has some spurs at random spots  depending on how it mixes at certain frequencies but super stable now. So at least you don't confuse it with noise anymore like previously.

This random spurious is common on all handhelds even the expensive fieldfox.

The rbw goes down to 1 hz   Which is remarkably better  than the older type only offering 1 khz!  This and the 20 GHz preamp gets the danl to -160dbm at 20 GHz as shown in pics! The Agilent only gets -130!

This also has more functions and this particular one has k17 option spectrogram which shows freq over time and has a long playback memory!

For the weight and size and convenience of a 3 hour battery cycle you can't go wrong with this version of the Rohde line It's a massive step up from an fsh18!!!. )
